- A hard launch, a steady cruise, a pass-by at speed
- A whine tuned to your EV launch, scooter commute or showroom reveal
- Clean, isolated audio you drop under the shot as the wheels turn
Electric motor sounds for games, animation, and video edits
Hard acceleration
The signature electric car launch, a whine that climbs and climbs, for a reveal, a race start or a product spot.
Pass-by
A car whooshing past on whine and tyre noise alone, the take for a street shot where the engine sound is missing.
Spin-up
A motor waking from rest, low hum to high whine, for a vehicle powering on or a machine coming to life.
Cruising hum
The even whine of a motor holding speed, a bed for interior car shots, futuristic transport or a long drive.
Wind-down
The whine sliding down to nothing as the motor stops, an ending for an arrival, a shutdown or a power cut.
Scooter pull-away
A thin buzzing whine and a rattle from the deck, the lighter electric sound of a scooter or a small cart.

Ways to use an electric motor sound effect
Carry a long drive with no soundtrack
A steady motor hum fills an in-car shot or a road montage, so a video, an animation or a podcast segment never sits in silence.
Edit prompt
Set a city a few years from now
Electric whines passing where engines used to roar tell the audience this is the near future, in sci-fi, a game world or a concept film.
Edit prompt
Hint that a machine has just woken up
A motor spinning up out of frame says something has switched on, so a thriller, a robot story or a game puzzle never has to show it.

FAQs
What is an electric motor sound effect?
It is a recording of an electric drive in action, the rising whine of an electric car pulling away, a steady hum at speed or a motor winding down. With no engine firing, the sound is mostly a clean whine that follows the speed of the motor, plus tyre and gear noise.
Where can I get electric motor sounds for a video?
Generate them from a prompt. Describing the electric drive you need takes less time than digging through a stock library, and you get the exact take your scene needs. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom electric motor sound effect?
Describe what the motor drives, what it is doing and how the pitch moves, then generate it. A prompt like "an electric motor slowing to a stop, the whine falling smoothly in pitch to a low hum" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the wording until it fits the shot.
What is the difference between an electric car, a scooter and a motor spin-up?
An electric car has a smooth, high whine with plenty of tyre hiss under it. A scooter is thinner and buzzier, with rattles from the deck and small wheels. A bare motor spin-up has no road noise at all, just the hum rising to a whine, which suits machines as much as vehicles.
Can I use these electric motor sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my electric motor sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the pitch does not follow the speed on screen. An electric whine is tied to how fast the wheels turn, so a car slowing down while the whine keeps climbing reads as wrong. Line up the rise and fall with the motion, and add tyre noise for any shot where the car is on the road.
