Trip and fall
A shoe scuff, hands slapping down and a heavy body thump, for someone catching a foot on a step, a rug or a cable.
Slip on wet tiles
A squeaking skid of shoes and a hard landing flat, for a wet floor, an icy path, a pool deck or a banana-skin gag.
Fall off a chair
A creak, a clatter of chair legs and a thud, for someone leaning back too far, a classroom prank or a shock reaction.
Fall off a bike
A metal clatter, a spinning wheel ticking and a body scraping to a stop, for a cycling crash, a kid learning or a stunt.
Boxes falling down
Cardboard boxes thumping and sliding down one after another, for a stack knocked over, a moving day or a warehouse mishap.

Ways to use a fall down sound effect
Let the boxes keep falling, no music
Boxes thumping down one after another fill the pause after a crash with no score, in a comedy, an animation, a game or a podcast.

Show the floor is slick and dangerous
A squeaking slip and a hard landing tell viewers the floor is wet before anyone looks down, in safety videos, comedies, games and audio.
Edit prompt
Tell the audience someone fell off screen
A trip, a scuff and a heavy thump from the next room say someone went down hard, in drama, comedy and radio, without showing the fall.

FAQs
What is a fall down sound effect?
A fall down sound effect is the sequence of noises when someone or something loses balance and hits the ground: a scuff or skid, an impact and whatever clatters after. It tells the audience how hard the fall was and whether to wince or laugh.
Where can I get fall down sounds for a video?
Describe the fall on Morphic and generate the exact tumble. Every sound on this page came from the prompt printed beside it, so take the closest, then change the surface, the cause or what rolls away afterwards.
How do I make a custom fall down sound effect?
Write the cause, the surface and the landing. A prompt like "a person tripping and falling forward onto a wooden floor, a scuff of shoes and a heavy body thump" works, and adding a chair or a bike turns it into another accident.
What is the difference between a fall, a trip and a slip?
A trip catches the foot, so the body pitches forward and hands and knees take the landing. A slip loses grip, so the feet skid out first with a squeak and the body drops back flat. A fall covers both, plus tumbles from chairs, bikes and ledges.
Can I use these fall down sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my fall down sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the impact lands late or on the wrong surface. Put the thump on the exact frame the body or object meets the floor, match tiles, wood or pavement to what you see, and keep the scuff before it short so the fall feels fast.
