Set the scale of a gathering force
A mass of drums in unison makes a crowd feel huge, in a siege scene, a tabletop game or a battle recap video.

FAQs
What is a war drums sound effect?
It is a pounding martial drum rhythm: a low steady pulse, a swelling roll or a mass of drums in unison. This page keeps to the drums alone.
Where can I get war drum sounds for a video?
Describe the rhythm and the drum size, then generate it. A marching pulse, a roll and a single huge hit each take one prompt.
How do I make a custom war drum sound?
Name the drum, say how it is struck and add the pattern, for example two large drums answering each other. Generate several and layer them for a bigger sound.
What is the difference between war drums and a drum roll?
War drums usually mean a heavy, low, steady rhythm. A roll is a rapid, dense run of strikes that builds to a hit.
Can I use these war drum sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. The rhythm is generated for you, not a stock track.
Why does my drum sound thin?
Ask for a large low drum and a resonant tone, and for a mass, describe many hand-struck drums in unison. Size words give it weight.
