Which sky plates render most reliably?
Slow, continuous motion holds up best: drifting cirrus, a building cumulus tower, colour draining at blue hour. Lightning is the least predictable, because the flash is a single-frame event and models tend to smear it. Generate several short lightning takes and choose the one with the cleanest strike.
Can I use a generated sky as a replacement plate?
