Where can I make computer stock footage with AI?
You can generate it in your browser on Morphic. Open the Text to Video tool, describe the component, the light and the single movement, and the plate renders in minutes. Image to Video is the other route: make the still first, then give it motion.
Why does text on generated hardware look wrong?
Small repeated characters are the hardest thing for a video model to hold steady, so keycap legends and port labels arrive as convincing nonsense that shifts between frames. Ask for blank unlettered keycaps and unlabelled ports from the start. The plate reads as a computer without asking anyone to read anything.
What should be on the screen in a computer shot?
Abstract colour. A generated interface invents an operating system that belongs to no era, and a real one ties the footage to a product that gets restyled every couple of years. A soft colour glow gives the same light on the face, the desk and the keys with none of that.
Can I show a real laptop model or operating system?
Keep both out of the prompt. Casing shapes, boot screens and desktop furniture are recognisable trade dress, and asking for them in a commercial cut creates a clearance problem for no benefit. Plain unbranded hardware with a blank screen works in any film, including one for a competitor.
What does generating give me that a stock library does not?
Control over the machine itself. A library clip shows whichever laptop was on the shoot, with its logo taped over or blurred in post. Generating lets you specify unbranded hardware, the exact colour temperature of the room and a clip that loops cleanly, which matters when the footage sits behind a long voiceover.
