Snap between two eras in one cut
A hard warp across the cut point makes a jump between two times feel intentional, in a music video, a title sequence or a game transition.

Time Warp
The warping, pitch-bending transition that makes time feel like it is stretching, slowing, or racing ahead. Describe the time warp your edit needs, from a slow-down bend to a glitchy stutter, and Morphic generates it in seconds.
- Pick the direction and the feel, a smooth pitch bend, or a jittering skip, and the movement lands where the transition does.
- A warp built around your cut, not the whoosh that has been in every transition pack since 2016.
- Clean, full-range audio that holds up when you stretch or reverse it again in your timeline.
Time warp transitions for video, games, and animation
Classic time warp
The familiar rising-falling sweep audiences instantly associate with time travel. Use it when the moment should need no explaining.
Slow-down bend
Everything dragging downward in pitch, like a tape losing speed. Ideal for easing into slow motion or a stalled moment.
Speed-up bend
The opposite climb, tightening and brightening. Use it to snap out of a slow section or to rush a montage forward.
Wobble warp
An unstable, seasick modulation that never settles. Good for dream logic and for scenes where the character cannot be trusted.
Glitch warp
Digital stutter and torn fragments instead of a smooth sweep. Suits screens, simulations and anything mechanical coming apart.
Reverse warp
A sucked-in swell that pulls toward the cut rather than away from it. Land the peak on the frame and the edit feels inevitable.

Ways to use a time warp sound effect
When a transition needs to carry a beat of nothing
A held wipe or a slow dissolve can feel empty. A bending tone across it fills the gap and keeps the pace from sagging mid-sequence.

Reality going soft around a character
Pitch drifting under normal room sound suggests the world is slipping, which works for dream states, flashbacks and altered levels alike.

A change the camera never shows
Off screen, a wobble and a snap-back suggest the day has reset, letting a scene open on the aftermath with no explanatory shot.

Questions fréquentes
What is a time warp sound effect?
A time warp is a warping, pitch-bending sound that reads as time stretching, slowing, or speeding up. It usually bends a tone up or down and adds wobble or stutter, and its whole job is to signal a shift in time, which is why it is used on flashbacks, slow-motion, fast-forwards, and reality-glitch cuts across film, games, and animation.
Where can I get a time warp sound for a video?
Generate one rather than search for it. Describing the warp you want takes less time than digging through a stock library, and you get the exact bend your transition needs instead of the closest available clip. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom time warp sound effect?
Describe the tone, which way it bends, and how it moves, then generate it. A prompt like "a tone dropping in pitch and slowing as if time is stretching" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the direction and wobble until it matches your transition.
What is the difference between a slow-down and a speed-up warp?
A slow-down warp drops in pitch and slows as if the world is stretching, and it reads as time grinding toward a halt: slow-motion, a flashback, or a moment freezing. A speed-up warp rises in pitch and accelerates, and it reads as time racing ahead: a fast-forward or a jump forward. Picking the direction that matches the move is what makes the warp feel intentional.
Can I use these time warp sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated rather than pulled from a shared library, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my time warp not sit right in the edit?
Usually it is the direction or timing rather than the sound itself. A rising speed-up warp under a slow-motion shot fights the picture, and a bend that peaks off the cut reads as a coincidence. Generate a version whose bend matches the move on screen and whose turn lands on the frame the picture changes, and it sells the shift far more cleanly.
