Draw a trumpet with the tubing running true

Draw a trumpet in your browser with Morphic's Image tool by naming the viewing angle, how the tubing loops, the valve block and the drawing medium. Ask for a clean outline or a fully shaded brass study, refine it on the Canvas, then download it in HD.

FAQs

How do I draw a trumpet so the tubing looks right?
The bore leaves the mouthpiece, loops back, returns through the valves and loops again before it reaches the bell. Say that it doubles back twice, otherwise the drawing collapses into a straight cone with buttons on it.
How do I draw the bell so it reads as a flare?
The bell opening is an ellipse whose width depends on the viewing angle, and the flare widens faster near the end than at the start. Ask for a dark reflection inside the rim so it reads as a hollow, not a disc.
How do I make a trumpet drawing look like brass?
Brass is high contrast. Ask for hard bright highlights sitting right next to dark reflections with little mid tone between them, and put a warm cast in the light areas if you are working in colour.
Can I get a simple trumpet outline for a poster or sticker?
Yes. Ask for one even stroke weight, no shading and a plain background, keeping the tubing loops open enough to stay readable. That version scales down without turning into a blob.
What is the hardest part of drawing a trumpet?
The valve block, because the three casings sit in a row but the buttons are at different heights and the slides leave at angles. Naming it as a separate detail in the prompt gets far better results than leaving it implied.
Can I draw a whole brass section in the same style?
Lock the trumpet with Style Transfer, then generate a trombone, a tuba and a french horn against it. The set returns sharing one line weight and one brass treatment.
