How do I make a news sting sound urgent rather than routine?
Make the stabs climb. Three hard stabs rising in pitch over a driving low pulse reads as an interruption, while two stabs on the same flat pitch reads as a scheduled headline. Volume does not do it on its own.
Why does my news bed fight the presenter?
It has a melody. Ask for a steady ticking pulse with a low sustained tone and explicitly no melody, so nothing in the bed competes with the pitch range speech occupies.
Can I use a real network theme instead?
A real broadcaster theme belongs to that broadcaster and using it in your own production is a rights problem. Generating a package gives you the same grammar with nothing to clear.
What is the difference between this and the newsroom ambience page?
