Land the joke on a single loud swallow
One wet gulp after a bad mouthful gives the reaction its timing, in a comedy sketch, an animated short or a cooking video gone wrong.

Set the viewer at a busy noodle counter
Slurped noodles and tapping chopsticks over the opening shot say where we are before the bowls appear, in video, animation and audio stories.

FAQs
What is an eating sound effect?
An eating sound effect covers the whole meal: cutlery on a plate, a spoon in a bowl, bites, chewing and the swallow between mouthfuls. The tools and the plate are part of it, which is what tells the viewer a meal is under way.
Where can I get eating sounds for a video?
Type the meal into a prompt and generate it. Writing out the food and the cutlery takes less time than digging through a stock library, and you get the exact mouthful your scene needs. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom eating sound effect?
Name the food, the dish and the action, then generate it. A prompt like "a steel knife and fork cutting food on a ceramic plate, scraping and clinking" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the wording until it fits the shot.
What is the difference between eating, chewing and biting sounds?
Biting is the single moment teeth break into food, and chewing is the mouth working on it afterwards. Eating is the full meal around both, the fork on the plate, the spoon in the bowl and the swallow, so pick it when the table is part of the shot.
Can I use these eating sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my eating sound not sit right in the edit?
Most often the mouth noise is louder than the cutlery in a wide table shot. Keep chewing up front only in close-ups, and in wider shots let the plates and forks lead with the mouth sounds pulled back, so the level matches how close the camera is.
