FAQs
What is a happy new year sound effect?
A happy new year sound effect is the greeting spoken, shouted or whispered at midnight, sometimes with party horns and a cheering room behind it. Creators use it for countdown videos, holiday cards, streams and game events that mark the turn of the year.
Where can I get happy new year sounds for a video?
Generate them from a prompt. Writing the delivery you want is quicker than searching for a greeting that fits, and the take is made for your clip. Every clip on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom happy new year sound effect?
Write happy new year and put the delivery in a bracket at the start, such as [shouting, partying] or [warm, raising a toast]. Generate it, then change the tag or add one short word until it fits the shot.
What is the difference between a shouted, a toasted and a whispered happy new year?
A shouted one is loud and wild, made for a party at midnight. A toasted one is warm and steady, the kind said with a glass raised at a table. A whispered one is close and tender, meant for one person.
Can I use these happy new year sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my happy new year not sit right in the edit?
Usually the voice is too clean for a noisy party shot. Lay the line over a cheering crowd or horns at a lower level so it sounds like it belongs in the room. For a calm scene, keep it dry and close.
