FAQs

What is a sip sound effect?
It is the small sound of drinking: a lip-sealed draw, a slurp, a gulp or a straw sucking. It is often a cue to slow a scene down.
Where can I get sip sounds for a video?
Spell out the drink and the container and generate it. That is quicker than scrolling for a clip that nearly fits, and every cue here was made from the prompt printed beside it.
How do I make a custom sip sound effect?
Name the container and how the drink is taken, then add how loud and how close it is. A prompt like "three quick gulps of water, each a thick swallow" gives Morphic the count and the texture.
What is the difference between a sip and a slurp?
A sip is quiet and sealed, with little air. A slurp pulls air in with the liquid, so it is thin, noisy and comic. Choose a sip for calm and a slurp for a laugh.
Can I use these sip sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because the cues are generated, they are not tied to a stock pack you share with others.
Why does my sip sound too quiet in the mix?
Sips are small, so they get buried. Ask for a close recording and raise the clip, or pick the straw or the slurp, which carry more air and cut through dialogue.
