Yes sound effect

The word on its own, in the six readings that get used: the fist-pump shout, the quiet relief, the drawn-out gloat, the clipped confirmation, the whisper, and a whole room.

  • Pick the reading, from an explosive shout to a whisper nobody else in the room hears
  • A reaction voiced for your scene rather than a stock clip with someone else energy in it

Reactions for video, games, and animation

Triumphant shout

Loud, explosive, and stopped hard. The fist-pump version, and the one that needs the cut to land on the stop rather than the start.

Quiet relief

Spoken on an out-breath, soft and falling. Reads as someone who was genuinely worried, which a shout never manages.

Drawn-out gloat

The vowel held long with a smile audible in it. Use it when the character is enjoying being right in front of someone.

Clipped confirmation

Flat, brisk, no emotion. The version for a procedure or a radio call, where any warmth would sound out of place.

Whispered

Almost no voice behind it, said to nobody. For a win in a room where reacting out loud would give the character away.

A room of them

Many voices on the same word, each starting a fraction apart. The stagger is what stops it sounding like one take multiplied.

Ways to use the yes sound effect

Punctuate a win

Land the shout the frame after the result appears. Putting it on the same frame reads as a sound effect; a beat later reads as a person.

Fill a beat without reaching for music

A quiet relieved read fills two seconds of a held shot, so the moment after a close call does not need a score to land.

Tell the audience how much it mattered

A clipped flat read says this was routine. A drawn-out gloat says it was not. Same word, and the stakes are set entirely by the delivery.

Put a crowd outside the frame

A room of overlapping voices under a close-up fills the space around one face without a wide shot or extras to hire.

FAQs

How do I change the emotion without changing the word?
Describe the breath behind it. An explosive shout with a hard stop reads as triumph, the same word on a soft out-breath reads as relief, and held long with a smile it reads as gloating.
Where should the reaction sit in the cut?
A beat after the thing it is reacting to, never on the same frame. Landing it simultaneously reads as a sound effect; a few frames of delay reads as a person noticing.
Can I get a female or older voice?
Yes. Change the description at the front of the prompt and leave the delivery notes alone, since the delivery is what carries the reaction rather than the voice behind it.
Why does my vocal come back with a room on it?
Something in the prompt implied a space. Keep it to "dry and close" and add reverb in your editor, where you can match it to the room in your picture instead of accepting the model choice.
How do I get a group rather than one voice?
Ask for many separate voices each starting a fraction apart at different pitches. Prompting a group as one thing returns a single thick voice, and the stagger is what makes it a room.
Can I use this in a monetised video or a game?
Yes. Audio generated on a paid Morphic plan is cleared for commercial use, including games, monetised video, and broadcast.
