Where can I make short videos with AI?

How long should each generated clip be?
Generate in short runs and assemble, rather than asking for the whole short in one go. Five to ten seconds per clip holds quality and gives you cut points. A sixty-second short is usually six to ten generated beats rather than one long generation.
What makes a short video hold attention?
Opening mid-action, turning the story once around the halfway mark, and closing on a frame that matches the opening so the replay loops. Prompt for all three explicitly. Establishing shots are where most short videos lose the viewer.
Can I generate vertical short videos directly?
Yes. Set the aspect ratio before you generate rather than cropping a widescreen clip afterwards, since cropping throws away the sides of a composition that was framed for them. Generating in the shape you will publish keeps the subject where you put it.
How do I leave room for captions?
Prompt for empty space in the part of the frame the text will occupy, usually the upper or lower third. Asking for "an uncluttered background with empty space in the upper third" gives captions somewhere to sit instead of fighting the subject.
