How do I draw an open book?
Draw the spine as a short line in the center, then two curved pages rising from it and dropping to the outer edges. Add a thin cover edge underneath and a shadow in the gutter where the pages meet.
How do I make the pages look curved?
Curve the top and bottom edges of each page up from the spine and down toward the outside. Shade the gutter darkest and let the page surface lighten as it rises.
What angle is easiest for an open book drawing?
Straight from above or straight from the front is easiest, because both sides are nearly the same. A three quarter angle looks more natural but needs more care with perspective.
Can I use an open book drawing as a logo or icon?
