What is a muffled sound effect?
It is a sound that has passed through a barrier, so the high frequencies are gone and only a dull, low version reaches the ear. A thud through a wall and a voice behind a door are the usual examples.
Where can I get muffled sounds for a video?
Describe the source and the barrier and generate it directly. Applying a low-pass filter to a bright clip works, but a sound generated as already muffled keeps its natural low body and needs no tweaking.
