Ways to use a jump sound effect
Keep a playful scene going with no music
A trampoline bouncing under a long shot carries a backyard scene on its own, keeping a family video, a game or a podcast skit light.

Show a hot day down by the lake
A jump into deep water tells the audience it is summer by the water before the jetty is shown, in films, games and audio stories.
Modifier le prompt
Suggest a chase across the rooftops
A leap onto a metal roof off screen says someone is running over the buildings, without showing them, in thrillers, games and radio drama.

Questions fréquentes
What is a jump sound effect?
A jump sound is the noise of a real person leaving the ground and landing: a scuff or push on takeoff, then a thud, boom, splash or spray depending on the surface. The landing carries most of the weight and tells you where the jump ended.
Where can I get jump sounds for a video?
Describe the jump in a sentence and Morphic generates it. The takeoff, height and landing are made for your shot, and every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, ready to copy and change.
How do I make a custom jump sound effect?
Spell out the landing surface, the height and the drop, then generate it. A prompt like "a person dropping from a height onto concrete, a heavy jarring two-foot thud with a shoe scuff" is enough to start, and the surface word changes everything.
What is the difference between a realistic jump sound and a cartoon jump sound?
A realistic jump is foley: shoes, bodies and the ground they land on, matched to live action or grounded animation. A cartoon jump is a comic effect such as a spring boing or a whistle, used for exaggerated, playful movement.
Can I use these jump sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my jump sound not sit right in the edit?
A landing that is too big or too early for the feet on screen gives it away. Sync the thud to the frame the feet touch down, match the surface you can see, and keep the takeoff scuff small so the landing stays the main event.
