Punctuate a getaway with a hard launch
Wheelspin and a screaming engine on the cut that ends a heist scene give the escape its kick, in a film, a racing game or an animated short.

Hard launch
A full-throttle start with a short chirp of wheelspin, for getaways, street races and a car leaving in a hurry.
Gear-by-gear climb
Revs rising and dropping at each of three quick upshifts, for a car building real speed down a long open road.
Kick-down surge
An automatic gearbox dropping a gear and the engine surging, for an overtake, a sudden decision or a pursuit closing in.
Inside the cabin
Acceleration heard from the driver seat, engine and tyre roar swelling together, for in-car shots and first-person driving.
Small engine strain

FAQs
What is a car accelerating sound effect?
A car accelerating sound effect captures an engine under load as the car gathers speed, from the first pull away to the climb through each gear. The rising pitch and the dips at each gear change are what tell the ear the car is going faster.
Where can I get car accelerating sounds for a video?
Type what the car is doing and Morphic generates it, which is quicker than scrolling a stock library for a launch that matches your cut. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom car accelerating sound effect?
Say how hard the car pulls, which gears you hear and where the listener sits, then generate it. A prompt like "a car pulling away from a standstill, the engine climbing through first and second gear" gives Morphic enough to work with.
What is the difference between a pull-away, a launch and a kick-down?
A pull-away is an easy start, with revs climbing slowly through the low gears. A launch is a full-throttle start that often chirps the tyres. A kick-down happens on the move, when an automatic drops a gear and the engine surges for an overtake.
Can I use these car accelerating sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my car accelerating sound not sit right in the edit?
Most often the gear changes do not match the picture, so the engine dips while the car on screen keeps a steady pull. Line up each dip in revs with a visible shift or a cut, and keep the cabin version for interior shots so the perspective matches.
