Plunge the hallway into darkness
Lights clunking off one after another as the figure gets closer makes the scare land, in a horror film, a haunted house game or a creepy short.
编辑提示词
Flickering light
The stuttering buzz of a failing fluorescent tube, the crackle of a loose fitting arcing, and the clunk of lights cutting out. Describe the flickering light your edit needs and Morphic generates it clean.
- A stuttering tube, a sparking fitting, a surge or lights cutting out in a row
- A buzz timed to the dying tube in your corridor, garage or morgue
- Comes as a clean electrical sound with no music behind it, ready to sync to the light in your shot
Flickering light sounds for games, animation, and video edits
Fluorescent flicker
A tube buzzing, stuttering and ticking as it fails. The classic horror corridor sound, and the first one to try.
Sparking fitting
Crackles and pops from a loose fitting as the power cuts in and out. Use it when something is about to short out or catch.
Lights cutting out
Three heavy clunks as lights go dark one by one. The moment the darkness walks toward the camera down a hallway.
Power surge
A hum that swells, crackles and drops back. Good for a storm hitting the grid, a machine drawing power or a ghost arriving.
Neon sputter
A neon tube fizzing and flickering on and off. Reach for it for a roadside motel sign, a back alley or a late diner.
Brownout
A hum sagging in pitch and wavering back as the lights dim. A slow, uneasy bed for a failing building or a ship losing power.

A stuttering tube under a slow walk fills the silence and keeps the audience on edge without a score, in a film, a horror podcast or a game level.
编辑提示词
Set a run-down motel or back alley
A sputtering neon tube tells the audience exactly where they are before anyone speaks, in a crime drama, an animated short or a noir game.
编辑提示词
Suggest something is draining the power
A surge in the lights with nothing visible says an unseen presence has arrived, in a ghost story, a sci-fi game or an audio drama.

常见问题
What is a flickering light sound effect?
It is the electrical sound of a light failing: a fluorescent tube buzzing and ticking, a loose fitting crackling, a surge, a slow brownout or lights cutting out one by one. It is a staple of horror and suspense because it tells the audience the power, and safety, cannot be trusted.
Where can I get flickering light sounds for a video?
Generate them from a prompt. Describing the flicker you need takes less time than digging through a stock library, and you get the exact take your scene needs. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom flickering light sound effect?
Describe the light and the way it fails, then generate it. A prompt like "overhead lights shutting off one after another, three heavy electrical clunks with a clear gap between each" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the wording until it fits the shot.
What is the difference between a flickering light, a light bulb and a light switch sound?
A light switch sound is the click of a hand turning a light on or off. A light bulb sound is the bulb itself, a hum, a ping as it burns out or a glass pop. A flickering light sound is the circuit failing over time, buzzing, stuttering and crackling, for when the fault is the story.
Can I use these flickering light sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my flickering light sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the sound and the light are out of step. Each tick or cut-out should match a frame where the light actually drops, so nudge the clip or trim between flickers until they line up. If it fights dialogue, lower the buzz and keep only the clicks.
