Heheheha sound effect

The over-articulated staccato laugh where you can hear every separate syllable. Generate it high and silly, slow and deliberate, pitched down, or coming from a whole room at once.

  • Set the syllable count and the spacing, which is what makes this laugh read as deliberate
  • A take generated for your cut rather than the clip everyone already recognises on sight
  • Download clean audio and drop it straight into your edit
Heheheha sound effect

Stylised laughs for videos, games, and animation

Standard

Four syllables, evenly spaced, each one clearly articulated. The gaps are the whole joke: run them together and it becomes an ordinary laugh.

High and silly

Light and squeaky with the same spacing. Reads as a small character rather than a person, which suits animation and game NPCs.

Slow and deliberate

Wide gaps and a flat delivery. The unsettling version, because nobody actually laughs at that speed by accident.

Pitched down

Deep, heavy, and rough-edged while keeping the same spacing. Still recognisably the rhythm, which is what makes it funny rather than menacing.

Speeding up

Syllables that start wide and close in until they run together. Useful when the character is losing control of the bit.

A room of them

Several voices on the same rhythm, slightly out of step. The imperfect sync is what makes it land as a group rather than a copy.

Ways to use the heheheha sound effect

Punctuate a bit going too far

Drop it on the frame where a character commits to something silly, in an animated scene as easily as a talking-head edit.

Fill an awkward pause without music

A slow widely spaced laugh holds four seconds of a static shot, and the silence between the syllables does more work than the syllables do.

Tell the audience who is behind this

High and squeaky reads as a small nuisance. Pitched far down reads as something much bigger enjoying itself. Same rhythm, different antagonist.

Put a group off screen

Several voices slightly out of step puts a crowd of them somewhere the camera never goes, which is cheaper and creepier than showing them.

よくある質問

What makes this different from a normal laugh?
The separation. A real laugh runs its syllables together; this one articulates each one with a gap after it. Asking for separate, evenly spaced syllables is the single instruction that produces the effect.
How do I make it creepy rather than silly?
Slow it down and widen the gaps. Nobody laughs at that pace involuntarily, so a slow deliberate version reads as performed, which is what unsettles people.
How many syllables should it have?
Four is the standard and reads as complete. Six works if you also ask for them to speed up and run together at the end, which sounds like someone losing control of the joke.
How is this different from an evil laugh?
An evil laugh is about register and menace. This is about rhythm and articulation, and it is usually funny rather than threatening. They are separate pages because they want completely different clips.
Why does my laugh come back sounding natural?
The gaps were not in the prompt. Say "separate" and "with a gap between each one" explicitly, because the model default is a continuous natural laugh and it will smooth the syllables together otherwise.
Can I use this in a monetised video?
Yes. Audio generated on a paid Morphic plan is cleared for commercial use, and because the take is generated rather than lifted from a circulating clip there is no third-party claim on it.
