Use cases

Localise a poster or ad

Run a campaign in a new market without rebuilding the artwork. Translate the headline and call to action inside the poster and the wording is set back in the same font, colour, and position. The layout, imagery, and branding stay exactly as the designer intended.

Translate product packaging

Show a product with its label in another language for a store listing or a pitch. Morphic follows the curve of a bottle or the flat face of a box so the translated text wraps and sits the way the original did. It reads as real packaging rather than text stuck on afterwards.

Make a menu readable to visitors

A photographed menu or a specials board can be translated in place so guests can order in their own language. The dish names swap over while the board, the chalk style, and the layout stay put. It is quicker than retyping the whole thing into a separate document.

Clarify a sign for travellers

A street sign or a notice shot at an angle can be translated with the text kept on the same plane, so it still looks like part of the scene. The words change language while the sign, its perspective, and the background remain untouched. Useful for guides, travel content, and wayfinding mockups.

FAQs

How does translating an image work?
You upload the image and say which language to translate into, and Morphic replaces the words inside the picture rather than handing back a separate text file. This is in-place text replacement, so the translated wording is set back into the same spot, matching the original typeface, colour, and the angle the text sits at. The rest of the image is left untouched.
Does it keep the original layout and design?
Yes, that is the point. The translated text is rebuilt into the same position and follows the perspective of the surface it sits on, whether that is a flat poster, a curved label, or a sign photographed at an angle. Backgrounds, graphics, and spacing stay as they were, so the design still reads as one piece.
Is this the same as a document translator?
No. A document translator gives you editable text; this replaces the words that are baked into an image and returns a new image. It is ideal for posters, packaging, signs, menus, and social graphics where the text is part of the artwork, not for translating a Word file or a PDF you want to keep editing.
What happens with longer passages of text?
Short, punchy text like a headline, a label, or a sign comes out cleanest because it fits the original space. A longer paragraph can be translated too, but the wording length changes between languages, so you may need a rerun to get the fit right. Reruns cost nothing, so it is quick to try a couple of options.
Which languages can it handle?
Ask for the target language in plain terms and Morphic sets the translated wording in place. Scripts with different characters, such as Japanese, Korean, or Arabic, are supported, and the model keeps the style close to the original. Always give the finished image a quick read to confirm the wording is right before you publish.
Does it run in the browser?
Yes. The translator runs on Morphic in the browser, so there is nothing to install. Upload an image, name the language, and export the translated version from the same canvas.
