Use cases

Packaging design presentations

Turn a flat panel layout into a box a client can picture on a shelf. Show the front-and-side hero, then a top-down of the open lid to preview the inside print. Seeing the folds and proportions early catches a cramped panel before it goes to the printer.

Ecommerce and marketplace listings

Give a product page a clean hero and a set of supporting angles. Generate the box on a plain sweep for the main image, then beside the product it contains to show what is inside. Consistent lighting keeps the gallery tidy without a photo studio.

Retail shelf and range shots

Show how a product looks in the aisle before it ships. Line up several boxes as a range, or place one on a shelf among neighbors to test how the design holds its own. Swap the artwork and rerun to compare two packaging directions side by side.

Subscription and mailer boxes

Sell the unboxing before the first order goes out. Generate a kraft mailer held in two hands, then an open top-down with the contents nested inside. It gives a subscription launch or a crowdfunding page real hero art without printing a sample box first.

FAQs

How does the box mockup generator work?
You upload your packaging artwork or a flat dieline and describe the box you want to see. The model wraps the design around a three-dimensional box, folds it at the edges, and lights it like a product photo. Because the artwork follows the real geometry of the panels, the print bends around each corner and the folds catch light the way a printed carton would.
What box shapes can I make?
Ask for a rigid gift box, a folding tuck-end carton, a kraft shipping mailer, a tall cereal-style box, or a small cosmetic box. Each shape changes the proportions and the way the lid or flap sits, so a perfume box and a corrugated mailer look distinct rather than the same cube in different colors.
Can I show more than one panel?
Yes. A three-quarter angle reveals the front and one side at once, which is how most retail shots are framed. You can also request a straight-on front, a top-down of an open box, or a group of boxes to suggest a full range. Supply artwork for each visible panel and the wrap keeps them aligned.
Can I make a free box mockup online without a dieline template?
Yes. You do not need a die-cut PSD or a 3D file. Upload the artwork, describe the box and the scene, and export the render in the browser on Morphic. New accounts include credits, so you can test a shape before committing to a batch.
Will the folds and shadows look real?
The generator adds the crease at each edge and a contact shadow under the box, so it sits on the surface instead of floating. Light falls across the panels with a soft falloff toward the folds. If an edge looks too hard or a shadow too heavy, rerun with softer, more diffuse light.
How is this different from a box mockup template?
A template gives you one box at one angle on one background. Here the shape, the surface, and the light are generated per shot, so the same artwork can appear as a shelf hero, an unboxing top-down, or a lineup of a range. The only fixed part is the artwork you upload.
