Use cases

Rescue a shot you cannot retake

A wedding candid, a first-steps photo, a moment that happened once and came out soft. When there is no chance of a reshoot, deblurring is often the only way to bring the frame back. Morphic rebuilds the focus so the memory is worth keeping and printing.

Rescue a shot you cannot retake

Fix camera shake on handheld photos

Low light and a slow shutter leave a faint smear across the whole frame. Morphic estimates the shake and reverses it, tightening edges and small features. A photo that looked hopeless at full size becomes usable for sharing or a small print.

Sharpen a soft scan or download

Old scans and heavily compressed downloads lose their crisp edges. Deblurring restores the definition that the format threw away. Because you can enlarge in the same step, a small soft source can come back as a clean, bigger file ready to use.

Make a blurred product photo usable

A listing photo that missed focus reads as careless to a buyer. Morphic pulls the item back into focus so the shape, label, and texture are clear. Deblur, enlarge to the size your store needs, and the shot earns its place on the page.

FAQs

How do I unblur an image?
Upload the photo, and Morphic estimates what the blur removed and rebuilds the missing detail. It reconstructs edges, texture, and fine structure rather than just raising contrast, so a soft shot reads as focused again. If the result needs to be larger, you can upscale it in the same pass.
What kinds of blur can it fix?
Mild focus miss, camera shake, and general softness respond best. A face that came out slightly out of focus, a handheld shot with a little motion smear, or a photo that was saved down and lost its crispness are all good candidates. Very heavy motion blur where the subject has moved a long way across the frame is the hardest case and may only partly recover.
Will it invent detail that was not there?
It reconstructs plausible detail from what the model has learned, so a deblurred photo is a faithful restoration rather than a forensic record. For everyday photos that reads as natural and sharp. For anything where the exact pixels matter, treat the output as a clean version to look at, not evidence.
Can I unblur an old or low-quality photo?
Yes. Softness from an old scan, a compressed download, or a small original all improve. Because you can deblur and upscale together, a tiny soft image can come back as a larger, crisper file in one go.
Does it work in the browser?
Yes. Everything runs on Morphic in the browser, so there is nothing to install. Upload the blurry photo, let it deblur, and export the sharpened image from the same place.
Do I need an account?
You can look through examples without one. To unblur your own photos you sign up, which takes under a minute and comes with starter credits.
