Use cases

Explore a layout idea fast

Before you sketch anything by hand, describe the home you have in mind and see a plan-style image in seconds. Try a single-story against a two-story, or an open plan against separate rooms, and compare them side by side. It is a quick way to think through a layout, not a construction drawing.

See the plan as a room

A top-down plan tells you where things go, but not how the space feels. Take one room from your layout and render it at eye level, so you can judge the light, the flow, and the proportions. Moving between the plan and the interior in one place makes the idea far easier to picture.

Communicate with your builder

A clear plan-style image is a great way to show a builder, an architect, or a partner what you are thinking, before anyone spends on drawings. It puts everyone on the same page about room count and flow, then a professional can turn the agreed idea into proper dimensioned plans.

Rearrange and remodel

Thinking about knocking through to an open plan or moving a bathroom? Describe the change and render the new layout to see if it works before you commit. Test a few variations of a remodel quickly, then take the direction you like to a professional for the real plans.

FAQs

How does the AI house plan generator work?
You describe the home, the number of rooms, and roughly how they should connect, and the model renders a plan-style image with rooms, walls, and labels laid out from above. From the same brief you can also generate an interior render of a room in that layout, so you see both the plan and the feel of the space. It is a fast way to visualize a layout idea.
Does it export a CAD or DWG file?
No. The output is a plan-style image, not a CAD, DWG, or vector file with real measurements. It is ideal for exploring and communicating a layout idea, but it is not a construction drawing. For permits or building, hand the concept to an architect or drafter who can produce dimensioned, code-compliant plans.
How is this different from the architecture generator?
The architecture generator focuses on the building itself, exteriors, facades, and structural style. This tool starts from the top-down layout, the arrangement of rooms on a floor, and can then render what one of those rooms looks like inside. Use this one when the layout is the question and the other when the look of the building is.
Can I see what a room in the plan looks like?
Yes. After you have a layout you like, describe one room from it, say the open-plan kitchen and living area, and render an interior view. Because you are working in one place, you can move between the overhead plan and an eye-level render of the same space to test whether the layout feels right.
Will the plan be accurate to scale?
Treat proportions as indicative, not measured. The model renders a convincing plan-style image, but it does not compute exact dimensions or guarantee that rooms are to scale. Use it to explore and communicate an idea, then have those decisions verified and drawn properly before anyone builds from them.
Do I need to sign up?
You can browse the examples without an account. To generate your own plan and interior renders, a free account takes under a minute to create.
