Use cases

Enlarge a product shot for print or a hero banner

A photo that looked fine on a listing often falls apart when it has to fill a print page or a wide banner. Enlarge it and the model rebuilds the label text, the material, and the edges at the larger size. You get a version big enough for the placement without a reshoot.

Blow up a small or old photo

Phone screenshots, thumbnails, and old scans are often too small to use anywhere else. Enlarging one gives the model room to reconstruct faces and textures that were only a handful of pixels wide. It is the difference between a photo you can only view small and one you can actually place.

Size up artwork and illustrations

A logo, icon, or illustration exported at a small size can be enlarged so its lines and fills stay clean at the bigger dimensions. The model follows the shapes rather than blurring them, so edges read sharp. Handy when you need a bigger version and no longer have the source file.

Prepare an image for a larger crop

When you want to crop into part of a photo, enlarging first gives you the pixels to crop away without ending up soft. Scale the whole frame up, then crop to the composition you want and keep the detail. It turns one image into several usable sizes.

FAQs

How does the image enlarger make a photo bigger without softening it?
Instead of stretching the pixels you already have, the model generates the detail that a larger version of the image would contain. It reads edges, textures, and patterns in the original and rebuilds them at the new size, so a face, a fabric, or a leaf comes back sharp rather than smeared. The result is a genuinely larger image, not the same one blown up.
How much bigger can I go?
You can push a small image up several times its original dimensions. The more you enlarge, the more the model is inventing rather than recovering, so a modest jump stays truest to the source while a large jump is best for images that were only ever small. If one pass looks soft in places, a rerun or a different model usually tightens it.
Will it change how the photo looks?
The goal is a bigger version of the same shot, not a reinterpretation. Colour, composition, and the subject stay as they were; what changes is that fine detail now holds up at the larger size. On heavily compressed or very tiny sources the model has to guess more, so check faces and text after enlarging.
What kinds of images work best?
Photos, product shots, artwork, and screenshots all enlarge well. Clean sources with real detail give the model the most to work with, while images that are already blurry or full of compression blocks are harder and may need a rerun. Text and logos can wobble at extreme enlargements, so keep those jumps smaller.
Does a rerun cost anything?
Reruns are part of the workflow and cost nothing but a moment. If the first enlargement is soft in one area, run it again or switch to another model and compare. You only keep the version you like, so there is no penalty for trying a few sizes.
Does it run in the browser?
Yes. The enlarger runs on Morphic in the browser with nothing to install. Upload an image, set how much larger you want it, generate, and export the enlarged version from the same canvas.
