How do I remove the background from an image?
Upload the photo and point at the subject. Smart Select and Point Select isolate it from everything behind it, down to the edge of a sleeve or a strand of hair. From there you either drop the backdrop out or describe the one you want in its place, and the model renders it around the subject you kept.
Can I replace the background instead of erasing it?
Yes, and that is usually the better move. Describe the backdrop you want, a white studio sweep, a marble counter, a city street at dusk, and the model builds it behind your subject. The lighting and shadow are generated to sit with the subject rather than pasted behind it, so the result reads as one photograph.
Can I get a transparent background?
Morphic replaces backgrounds rather than exporting an alpha channel. The practical route is to generate a flat single-colour backdrop, pure white or a solid key colour, which drops out cleanly in whatever layout or design tool you place the image in. For most commercial work, a rendered backdrop beats a cut-out anyway.
Does it handle hair, fur, and other fine edges?
Fine edges are where cheap background erasers fall apart. Point Select works at the level of the individual element rather than a rough bounding box, so wisps of hair, fur, and thin straps survive the cut. If an edge comes back wrong, point at it again and regenerate that region instead of redoing the whole image.
Can I remove backgrounds from a batch of photos?

Which model should I use for background work?

Will the subject still look like the subject?
Yes. The subject you select is carried through, not regenerated, so a face stays that face and a product stays that product. If you need the same item across a whole set of backdrops, pass it in as a reference so every shot in the run matches the one your client approved.
