Use cases

Clear a bystander out of the shot

A passerby wanders through the back of an otherwise perfect take, or a crowd clutters the frame behind your subject. Name them and Morphic tracks the region across the shot, rebuilding the wall, street, or sky where they were. It rescues a take you cannot easily reshoot.

Remove a boom, rig, or crew reflection

A boom mic dips into frame, a light stand catches the edge, or the rig shows up in a reflective surface. Rather than reshoot, describe the intrusion and Morphic clears it and continues the scene behind. It saves the shot without another setup on set.

Tidy a location for a clean product or listing clip

Bins, signage, parked cars, and stray clutter pull the eye off the subject. Clear them and the space rebuilds as open road, wall, or sky, so the location reads clean. Real estate walkthroughs and product clips in particular gain from an uncluttered backdrop.

Build a clean plate for compositing

A clean plate, the shot with the subject or prop removed, is the base for a lot of VFX and title work. Describe what to lift out and Morphic rebuilds the empty scene behind it, giving you a plate to composite over. Then assemble the layers on the timeline in Compose.

FAQs

How do I remove an object from a video?
Upload the clip and describe what you want gone, like the person walking through the back or the sign on the wall. Morphic edits the existing footage and rebuilds the area from the picture around it, tracking that region across the frames so the fill moves with the shot. The edited clip stays on your timeline.
Can it remove a moving person or object?
Yes. A subject that walks across the frame is harder than a fixed prop because the region to rebuild changes shape and position every frame, but the model tracks it through the shot and fills each frame to match. Busy or fast-moving backgrounds may take a rerun or a model swap to hold up cleanly.
Does it regenerate the whole shot?
No, and that is the point. Morphic edits the region you name and continues the rest of your existing clip untouched, so the framing, motion, and grade you shot stay exactly as they were. It is repairing your footage, not replacing it with a fresh generation from a prompt.
Will the area behind the object look edited?
The aim is that it does not. The space the object occupied is rebuilt to match the surrounding light, texture, and motion, so you avoid the frozen or smeared patch that manual masking tends to leave. On a plain background the fill is quick, while fine detail behind a moving subject is more work and can need a second pass.
Can I take out more than one thing?
Yes. Name several things to clear in the same pass, such as a bystander and a trash can, or work through them one at a time and check each fill before moving on. Working object by object helps on a complex scene where the background changes a lot.
Do I need to sign up?
You can look through the examples first. To clean up your own footage you will need a free account, which takes under a minute.
